Home AI Nexus Backups is a private application for sending encrypted recovery backups from its owner's server to the owner's Google Drive.

How the application is designed to work

  1. Prepare and encrypt on the owner's server

    The server creates recovery archives and encrypts their contents before uploading them. The decryption key is kept separate from the uploaded backup files.

  2. Use limited Google Drive access

    The app requests drive.file permission to create and manage its own backup files and folders, or files explicitly shared with the app. It does not request access to the whole Drive, Gmail, contacts or calendars.

  3. Keep the owner in control

    The owner can revoke the app's access in their Google Account. Existing files remain in Drive until the owner removes them. Revocation stops future authorized uploads; it does not decrypt or delete existing backups.
